Some Useless Things...

What is the purpose of drinking alchohal or nukacola. They do nothing good, except the alchohals decrease your perception. Besides how they are used for a quest in the Den, is there any real purpose? Alchohal should add to your charisma or something and subtract from your perception, but then everyone would be abusing it for charisma-related quests. I think, that drugs should only add 1 to a stat, and have a limit of one use at a time. That way you don't have people with 2 charisma just popping some mentats and get a party of five.

And prostitution. I got laid at the Cat's Paw and checked my character sheet and inventory and nothing changed. What a waste. Since it is so expensive, you should get some sort of small bonus, such as an increase in agility, or maybe luck, for a short length of time.


If you think these things are just fun to do, I disagree. It's a game, not real life, so how do you possibly feel anything?

The alcohol and sex adds realism to the game. This is a post-Apocalyptic time: the land is scorced, food is scarce and life is cheap. The people have few means of entertainment so they turn to sex, drugs and alcohol to let them escape from reality, if only for a short time.

Well, aside from the "atmosphere" aspect, alcohol is very useful for the would-be pickpocket. Buy you victim a couple bottles of rotgut and loot drunken lumox.

Well, the addiction factor is what really limits drug usage. I would have like the idea of drug overdose (a la Fallout Tactics), but then the Choosen One would probably leave a swath of OD'ed corpses in his wake.

I think the penaties for drug addiction should have been greater... If a charachter didnt get their fix, they should keep deteriating untill all their stats hit one and they cant do anything except try to get more... Ofcourse if they manage to break the habit they should get a neat little perk or somthing... I just think that drug abusing players should be punished harshly because the drugs let prety much any charachter play in any way, which isnt really role playing... unless your roleplaying a drugged-up head case... in which casr I suppose its ok... :)

Booze and drugs have another use that I was recently told of. If you lower your stats, skills based on those stats will drop, and you can then use books to get higher than 91% - up to 127% in extreme cases.
