First time out of the vault
I've done searching and searching, and have only found 2 related subjects (both by Per) on the "no-restocking" bug that I (as many) have been having.
First, I'll explain what is happening.
After playing through the game, not completing it but randomly wandering around leveling up, for some reason all shop keepers stop restocking permanently. It seems to happen to me after 4-7 years game time, and I really don't know why.
One subject was posted recently by Per here on NMA.
"* I have pretty much figured out that the infamous no restocking bug is caused by the game timer stopping or warping to zero or negative numbers. Any more info on when it happens (that is after how much game time) and/or in what circumstances might help. It sounds like something a hack to prevent the 13-year time limit might cause, but surely it has been experienced by people who didn't use any such thing? "
The other is from Per in "The Nearly Ultimate Fallout 2 Guide."
"All shops in the game may at some point cease to restock, apparently because the game timer goes out of whack and jumps to some negative value. This means shopkeepers will have no inventory at all if you visit them for the first time after the bug sets in, including random encounter merchants and trappers. Accounts vary slightly in details, but a common factor seems to be that the bug only strikes after a long time of playing (some 6 years or more of game time). Reported side effects include timer-dependent features breaking down (like waiting forever for the Dragon's next training session), character age becoming fixed, and the Pipboy losing track of special dates."

I've been having a crazy, random FO2 urge for some reason, but when I get half way through this bug hits and it's unplayable for me because I cannot get new ammo or sell my phat lewt.
I know its not just happening to Per and I. Please, if anyone has a solution/idea post it here.
Thanks!
