"unable to save game" error, need help

First off, I'm running it on NT. Have played it before, w/ no issues. Tried the whole uninstall/reinstall bit, still doesn't work. I can load old save games, start new games, but cannot save. Any ideas???

I had this prob years ago. Swithced to win2k anyway, but here you go. Make sure you did the full install of the game, and check the paths in the .cfg file to make sure they are not directing to your cd. Even though I did the full install the game still set the paths in the cfg to look at my cd-rom not my hard drive. This question really should have been posted in the tech support forum, but no prob with me. Which fallout? If it is fallout 2 make sure this line is at the end of the cfg.

Add free_space=0

If that does not work one small thing to try that probably makes no difference, but worth a shot. If you have a share password on your drive dissable it and try. I had lots of problems with NT4 and Fallout (just about any game for that matter) upgrade to 2k it is worth it for many reasons.

Yeah, I have free_space=0 in the .cfg file.
I can run the game, and play it fine, but I just can't save. I was playing around for about 30 minutes then couldn't save. Ah well, no more goofing off at work...
