Vilified in Modoc

I tried to steal the shotgun off the slaughterhouse(for Vic) and a fight ensued. As soon as I left that building other residents attacked me, and I destroyed them all.
?
Am i screwed as far as progressing in the game? I played a couple years ago, had no problems in Modoc, but do not remember if there is any quest here I NEED to continue.
Any help or refreshers would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Vilified in Modoc

Of course you will miss out on some quests. That's the bad news. the good news is that none are critical to finish the game so go on your marry way.

Thank you for your quick response.
So other than missing out on a few quests the main plot remains unaffected? Cool.

This makes me ask another question.
Which towns is it possible to "end" your game by angering and or killing them?

Thanks again for your relieving answer

RE: Vilified in Modoc

none I think

well dont atack someone in aroyo that will end the game.

RE: Vilified in Modoc

It should be possible to get stuck in SF by killing everyone and formatting everything that could get you fuel for the tanker, but you'd more or less have to make a conscious effort for that to happen.

Here's a question for you Per.

What if you attack someone in Arroyo and make it to the exit grid without killing them. Will it end the game too or will the game continue and if it continues will Hakunin talk to you if you return with the GECK ?

RE: Vilified in Modoc

I think i can awnser that.
if your atack someone and exit on the exit grid (without killing) its the end of the game.

and if you get the GECK, arroyo always gets trashed

Yep, if you either leave to the world map or wait until midnight, the game ends. I think it's the "Arroyo enemy" variable that's involved, so just hitting someone should do it even if you flee to another map.
