Whats going on?!!

My game has just screwed over. I got to San Francisco, and I offered to fight FOR the Dragon. So I went and did the test. I got up to the last dude (the one that looks like the dragon) and I saved as I got to him, cause I had to go.

Anyway next morning I reloaded, and as soon as I took my turn (I saved on my turn) and its the opponents turn, the game crash's. I only managed to not get it to crash once. That time I pressed end turn and it said 'you win' (I dunno why!) but as soon as I was back in the dragons room I was hit by something (This was meant to be my opponent hitting me, and just as it said 'you win' he swung a punch, but didnt hit me as I was taken back to the dragons place). Anyway I was hit and started to slide until I got into that box. No matter what I did then I couldnt get out of it.

Every time after that It crashed. I even tried to use falche2 later to edit my melee damage so Id kill him in 1 shot, and hopefully end this bug, but my flache 2 wont even read my save game file. So basically Its my turn in combat, but as soon as i end it and its the opponents turn, it crash's.

PLEASE tell me I dont have to restart, I dont have a back-up, and I was going well. I'd hate to restart.
IF anyone wants to see my save-game file, I have it here. Its 1.5 meg. Too big for my e-mail to let me send out. But if you have aim/icq message me plz!

I know I occasionally had some problems with some saved games persistently crashing. I don't think there is a solution...

I recommend using multiple save game slots instead of always saving to the same file. Every time you enter a new location, make a separate save. At least you won't have to start the whole game over. But that isn't the end of the world either

Well I never save it seperate slots, unless I do something completly different. e.g start killing some people
Thankfully I do havw save, but thats very far back
*Sigh* S'pose its better then nothing. But this really sucks

Hi, I think I maybe able to help you out, bec. this has happened to me several times. I was having a hard time beating the Frog brothers in Redding because I went here before Modoc, Vault City, etc..., so I was saving almost on every turn in combat and especially after a great shot to the eye to Frog, but just like what happened to you, the next time I try to load, my game crashed. After trying everything I could think of, and almost giving up, I hit on the idea that worked:

1. Copy your saved game in a different file.
2. Uninstall the game.
3. Reinstall the game.
4. Copy your saved game back into the game's folder.

It may not work on your game, but it did work on mine.

Wow, that's a very timeconsuming way to solve this. I mean, one wrong shot and you'll have to go through the whole uninstall/install thing again, yikes.
Just save before a fight. I have one save slot dedicated to this kind of saving. If the fight doesn't end up the way you like it, reload. It'll take less time this way and you'll have to employ a little strategie.
