Whats your guys favorite bases.... (ie. your home for your s

In my first few games I found T-rayz place adequate with the many lockers and such but the drawback was you had to park your car outside the shop because it wouldnt show up inside it.....

.... Well now im into my 6th game or so and have decided that i want the anti grav plates so no t-rays shop for me this time... so I nead a new home away from the road..... some place with plenty o storage to hold my rocks :-) .....

.... I know u guys probably have your share of prime choice bases so give me some info.... thx..

who cares where u put it.. so long as u remember where it is..
my last game i kept them in the 3 lockers in ghost farm..
but i dunno..
usually i dont even need storage places..
i just sell everything..

The best place depends on what sort of a character you are, If you join the Rangers then the pin will lawys remind you where you've left your stuff. These options are mainly if you hang around from VC to redding to NCr. You could use the raiders base if you kill them like i do. It's quite effective, i leave my party there on my dangerous trips. (I'm working on a screen shot of them in cool positions.) Navaro might do you if you take them out. Vic's near the begging. I'll check to see if i can find anymore, (this recently interested me the bases stuff and all).

ya I was contemplating the raiders camp too it seems to have plenty o lockers and that bad ass safe plus when i killed the raiders i didnt kill the shadow who walks ..... so i got this crazy ass tribal living in my base who just stares at me from time to time...... but im still not sure if theres enough locker space I have a tendency to collect everything in the game...... it is my goal to get every single item in the game and put it in one room hehhe how cool would that be....

Heh, I never really had a base, what I had, was a car trunk full of a lot of shit, me with advanced power armour mk 2 carrying a lot of stuff, and 3 npc's loaded with every bit of healing items, weapons, and ammo they could carry, I don't know how much the trunk could carry, but me and my npc's made up over 1000 lbs of stuff, I like to picture my character opening up the shop of all shops after beating the game :)

Lemme see... It's end game for my evil guy now. He and Myron cruise around in Enclave Armor (mine is MKII). I have THREE suits of normal Power Armor in my trunk, along with three Gauss Rifles, Tesla Armor, Metal Armor MKII, Combat Armor MKII, LOADS of ammo, and several other weapons (Flamer, M60, Rocket Launcher, Super Sledges, ect...). On top of that... I massacred Navarro and have like 9 Combat Shotguns, 4 Assault Rifles, more Combat Armor, more Power Armor, and some SMGs, 223 pistols, Desert Eagles, along with a normal Plasma Rifle and Combat Leather Jacket... On to Vault 13. Massacred that too. Got a suit of normal Combat Armor along with a Flamer and Laser Rifle I think, as well as my Pulse Rifle, Pistol, and 2 Super Sledges. Then at Vault City, I have a nice stash including some Combat Armor, Metal Armor MKII, I think a couple Desert Eagles and Assault Rifles. I have a VERY nice store of laser and plasma rifles at the Military Base. Modoc is also dead, but I won't dignify that crap hole with a weapons stash. That's all my stashes I can remember. Did I mention I'm also holding a Gauss Rilfe in my hands?

I have this thing about N.P.C's.....they always seem to blow up.. ..... call it a sick addiction or whatnot but I cant help but kill them with dynamite.... So I dont have the pleasure of having packing mules but i also dont have to watch them suck .... so i guess it kind of evens out in the long run..... and my car trunk doesnt hold much anymore because i have 200 pounds worth of rocks and 100 pounds o beer in it..... So a base is a necesity.....

I'm sorry. I also forgot to tell you about all the Plasma Rifles stashed in Navarro. I also wonder where I put that Vindicator... ALRIGHT! Next time I go in, I check what's in all my strongholds. I'm debating everyone. Which of my bases should I make my MAIN base? Vault Cuty is so much bigger than Vault 13 AND has a Vault, but Vault 13 is infinitally cooler. And then there's Navarro... But none of them have anyone alive in them. Well... Excpet for VC. I left Cassidy alive because he wouldn't attack me, even when I massacred his bar. Now I can get drinks whenever I'm in Vault City!!!

hehe, I can picture it now, walking throughout the field of corpses in vault city and sitting down at the bar with Cassidy and having some beers, meanwhile, the stench of dead people fills the bar :)

Depends who you kill

I have had to consider bases on my current game, i decided to cheat using editors and stuff to see what items you can aquire, i was also playing an evil character and Myron died. (It wasn't me honest) I was using the raiders base and i left cassidy there. he refused to rejoin me so i killed him. Its actually quite funny after you beat the game several times to cheat. get the end boss claw and stab people in the groin with it. I usually play a good character with high charima and a party full of all the five people i can get at once. I actually like Myron as he makes you drugs. Cassidy, Vic and Sulik stick around sometimes Lenny. The rest die quite soon. Although being a Fallout 1 fan as we are we all love Dogmeat so i always have him by my side in Fallout 2 sooner or latter. If not K-9. the raiders base does have quite a bit of space. as for using a whole town, how the hell would you remember where stuff is!!! Say you haven't finished a certain quest and you need a quest item eg. the slags note. It happened to me i could never find it. I accepted it and carried on then found it in one of mu many piles of stuff. San Fran makes a good base if you take out the Hubologists. the enterance to san fran also makes a good base, i used it to store my junk when going to the Enclave for the first time way back when. The casinos in New Reno might do you. If i remember correctly the Wright's place has must storage space and mr. Salvatore's place has nearly as much. Oww yeah the Bishop's has loads of space but i usually leave that intact as my male character likes sex with the Bishop women!!! If you're evil and take out the mutants in Broken hills (I won't tell you how incase you don't know) you can get into a secret storage area which could be used as a base in addition to Marcus's place. Also you could leave party members in the prison and lock it up, i might try this idea sometime. Vault 15 would qualify but 13 would do better. It depends who you wanna kill. I prefer my party members to have organised inventories. One day i decided i would organise all their inventories. Only give 'em what they need. I used the BOS base in San Fran as the temporary storage place but the junk stayed there. I gave them all the best weapons the group could afford and al l the ammo we had. I sorted out armour and all that. I dumped everything in the lockers until finished. This way my guys didn't have much stuff on them. If you take somewhere out in the general course of the game that has lots of locker space then by all means use them as your base. Still there are probably loads more, i'll note them as i re find or remember them.

Forgot one really good place to stash stuff, there's a grave at the golgotha place, I believe it's the highest one to the right. I stashed nearly a trunk full of stuff in that 1 grave, the rest of the graves don't hold much though

San Fran

My fav is Dragon's Home in San Fran. There are 4 lockers to the east and you could easily sort stuff out and store them accordingly. The shelf in the south western room served as my storage for novelty items such as iguana-on-a-stick(s).
More lockers in Lo Pan's place and the BOS station...
++ free stuff from the 888 store regularly...
the bad point is that the annoying residents keep commenting when i run around town...

Well I rarely need storage place. Just sell those things to the shop owner or keep em in my trunk. The Vault City have a lot of lockers and crates. I think you can just put all of your things there. But I usually kept them at the NCR. It's strategic place and have good stores. Keep em in Ranger's base. But I kept all of my FN-FAL at the raiders barrack.

I use the Brotherhood Instalation in san fran. Good location (near the two best damn shops in the game), good travel distance (not far to navarro, or enclave patrols, or NCR really), and beds. I use beds for some reason.

Sorta like a guerilla hq.

ok, i used the streets of San Fran. i just sorted out my weapons and ammo and made little piles for all of them... easy enough ACE! also, i killed everyone off that was in the bazar outside of the NCR so i used the midget's shelves to store stuff in. and at one point i was using the old military base and after i killed all of the families (cept the wrights) in New Reno, i just used their homes as storage facilites.

For a storage base I look for ..
1)Location.
The ideal base should be centraly located on the map.
2)Ammount of storage room.
One thing I look for is a small area that can hold a huge amount a stuff.Also I've noticed you can put more stuff on a large table than you can in a locker!
3)"Time zones"
It is a pain in the ass if you have to pass through several"time zones" (EXP:walking across Vault Cities customs gate or entrance.)to get where your stash is.

After all this I have come to realise the best realy good storage facility is the Stables which has about 23 tables ,2 ice chests,1 locker,1 desk and 2 large book shelves.Plus you get to have a herd of your very own moo-moos!:)And you can keep Myron there to make drugs for you too!(I personaly
can't stand the little shit and execute him!:))

My bases are, in order: Sierra Army Depot level 2, Raiders, the non-beat-up-looking house in Klamath,and the Navarro store room.
