[FO2] Who killed Richard Wright?

Who killed Richard Wright?

Ok, I've just about spent the last hour and a half trying to find that freakin poisoned jet bottle in new reno (wright family, quest 1). A walkthrough says you need to talk to Keith, and I did, but nothin' happened. It also says you need a CH of 7 to get anything out of him, but I have a CH of 8. Little help?

Talk to Keith until you get the dialog to see Richards room ,then look on the bookshelf in there.Then go talk to Jagged Jimmie.

Why the CH?

Just go in, they don't do anything apart from say 'that's Richard's room'

yeah all that's what the player's guide said, but I STILL can't get keith to tell me which room richard's is. Just to know, I killed everyone and searched all the shelves, then loaded again. ITS NOT ANYWHERE!!

I never needed to find it, I just talked to the drug shop owner and then to jagged jimmy and eventuly went to see Mr. Wright and told him who I thought...
 
How to finger the (w)right person :)

Here's how to find the CORRECT person responsible. I don't know what stats you need but for me I had sunglasses and stuff so charisma wasn't a problem (plus I had 8 int or so :)

Go to Richards Room and get the empty jet cannister from the shelf. Go talk to Jagged Jimmy J, and talk him into analyzing the canister, he tells you it has Rad Scorpion venom on it and I think he points you in Renesco's direction. Go talk to him and find out that he poisoned it because Salvatore told him to.

Now talk to Mr. Wright and tell him Renesco did it, he says he's going to have him killed. A dialogue option for telling him that Salvatore had it ordered should be there (hopefully). Convince him that it was all Salvatore's fault and he realises that he can't do anything about it.

Now you have no dead people (until that is you decide to waste Salvatore for some EXP). He's easy though, just steal his oxygen tank and leave his club and run to an exit grid, he dies, but don't return to the bar or you'll be attacked. Also I'd loot Salvatore's shelves while you're waiting for him to suffocate, he has some good stuff on his shelves and the box on the floor.

My prob is i cant find the damn canister. I can't get ANY dialog that tells me where his room is, its not in the Wright mansion, its not in the train station to the north, ITS NOWHERE! i'm like losing sleep over this (not really)... my IN is only 6, maybe that has some part in it. All I need is the jet canister and I know the rest. Any thoughts? My CH is 8, with glasses 9. I dont know what else could contribute.......help

I think i'm gonna try using a trainer to boost my IN and CH just to see if that does it...I wont save of course...I hate cheating (in a serious game) :)

Or you could use a inventory editor and give yourself the empty cannister.:)

You don't need a trainer to boost your IN and CH. Just a couple of mentats will do it.
