[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON Aug-04-00 AT 11:35PM (GMT)[p]I wondered if Fallout was on a 800 megabyte CD because it suppose to be huge. Is it going to be on a 2D/3D engine? I prefere 2D because in my opinion it looks more cartoonish and less like a 3D action action game. If it has a 3D foreground, won't it have to have something more advanced than that GHOUL thing that Soldier of Fortune has to have all the gore and bullet holes?

And last I want to bring up the subject of the septic truck which nobody responded to. Is it a good idea? bad idea? too stinky?

(see septic truck post)

The septic truck? i could easily picture haulin around and Vacu-Suking post-appocalyptic toilets and scrubin down the stalls as a way to make an honest living... however i dont see the reason you would want to leave a trail of sewage for people to follow... plz elaborate on the point. also i think you would need to incorporate politics and licensing to the game as not just any town would allow you to drive a toxic/bio hazard in and just park on the side of the road. maybe you need to think these things through a lil better?

The trail was a joke. I immagined npc getting pissed off about messing up their newly polished wing tips. The trail would be pointless, but interesting (like an easter egg). A stinky truck would be the least of a town's problems (come on! it's after a nuclear war) When did shit ever harm anyone

its a long time after a nuclear war. look at Vault City, at least the interior, would they appreciate a truck drivin up to the main gate askin if they had a plugged toilet that smelled somewhat similar to a cross between a city dump and my refridgerator?

the sewage truck would provide an interseting solution to the whole Raider Camp scenario though.. hell you gotta dump its somewhere anyways right?

Fallout took place a dozen (more?) years after the war, and Fallout 2 took place something like 70 or 80 years after Fallout 1 at least based on the size of arroyo. its logical to assume Fallout 3 will take place even longer after that, so shit and diseases similar to bubonic plaque and mass-epidemics would have a least a small bearing on the everyday lives of the fledgling societies.

personally i enjoy the idea vehicles of the *peculiar* persuasion... certainly the idea of an avalanche of shit flooding out of your truck enveloping the local bigots has a strong appeal.

For cities like Vault City (damm biggots) you could park the sucker truck outside the city or leave it in an other city. It's not like you have to drive it along the side walk.

It would be for cities like klammath, new reno, broken hills, gecko, and especially Modoc's outhouse. I'm sure cities like Vault City, San Fran, NCR, and the vaults would have sewage tunnels, not septic tanks.

[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON Aug-05-00 AT 05:18AM (GMT)[p]damn man your missing the point!!! i want a sewage pumper to blast away the biggots not to pump some poor mans shitter.

think big, think savior of the wastelands, try and get away from the plumber thing.. they dont role-play well, and the modding board hasnt got a character appearance changer yet.. (hmm something to do with monkeys??)

for fallout 3 they should definetly introduce vehicular modifications or a wider variety of transportation with extra special features.

Very true. It's the future and the only way to get around is on foot or a car that took so much trouble to get the parts for?

there are no 800 meg cd's. There are 80 min, 700 meg cd's.
Ordinary ones are 74 min and 650 megs.
