First time out of the vault
hi , i wonder`d if anyone has any information on this Vb project.
i saw a screenshot where it looks like you could create stuff.
that looked cool, is there any other screenshots of any other new stuff that was on it ? please post it here or something. does anyone know if the new company that creates fallout now has any new info out on their project ? or if they have taken Van Burden project ideas to their own and are trying to finishing it ? what happened to the Crew of Black isle?`

Van Buren project has been cancelled and swept away into the dustbin. What few screenshots from Van Buren exist can be found in the appropriate NMA section. Bethesda Softworks, who purchased the licence for single player Fallout, haven't released any concrete information on Fallout 3. It is known, however, the game will most certainly not use Van Buren code, artwork or ideas. Black Isle Studios has been disbanded and those employees who hadn't left prior to December 9th 2003 were fired. Former Black Isle developers now work at various companies, from Obsidian Entertainment to Raven Software.
 
ah, ok thanks . damn , the should have started their own company :P just for fallout based games. was black isle a part of interplay from the start?.

They DID start their own company. Two of them, anyway: Obsidian (Knights of the Old Republic 2) and Troika (Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines). Although there are rumors that Troika's fallen upon hard times lately.

Hmmmm ok, you can start herethan go here and continue the journey into this place and this one too.


Then you can check this place and rest a bit.

In this place you`ll find a lot of the devs discussing the game after it was cancelled, and some more stuff and yet more stuff.

More talk here and a very interesting discussion here.

Let`s move on to this place now, and allow me to rest. this is enough for now anyway.

Well the guys at Troika left the moment BIS was beeing created actually. If the rumours are true then they are just four guys now, three from trhe Fallout days, wich means you guys at Bethesda could hire them, at least for the pre production stage. It`s a cheap way of getting someone that made Fallout1, made the first docs to Fallout2, know van Buren well, have their own fallout3 stuff prepared, and it would help out eliminating a lot of PR troubles in the future, they are still Fallout gurus and respected because of that... Think about it :)

Ow and do check a few of those links, they have nice stuff (that you already saw, i`m sure) and some really colourfull discussions, and you know how Fallout fans are colourfull :D
