Fonline mapper

Hi guys. I'm new here, altough I've lurked for quite a while.

I'm wondering if you guys could give me a hand. I've downloaded the Fonline sdk. For a long time I've had an idea for a character and some quests and I'd like to try and create something in the Fallout universe. I've read that the Fonline mapper is "friendlier" so as a first step I was going to try and make a sort of tutorial area/first quest. Unfortunately I'm having trouble using the mapper. I'm sure I'm doing something simple and obvious wrong but I can't for the life of me figure it out. I read that a ! is the command for creating a new map, however whenever I use it I get a "unknown command" response. Also, if I try to chose a tile and place it on the map, nothing happens. I select it with the left mouse button, try to place it with the right button and nothing...

I know this may sound stupid but I honestly can't get the mapper to work. I'm sure that If I'm having such trouble doing so maybe I should just give it up, but I'm kinda stubborn.

I can recommend you ask on FOnline modding forum http://fodev.net/forum/ Also, I'm not sure if you use FOnline TLA SDK (russian) or FOnline 2238. Use FOnline 2238 mapper and if you want to create new map use commands:

~mapname - load maps
*new - create new map
*size x y - size of width, height for example *size 300 300
^mapname - save your map

Yes that's because editing mode is locked. Just press Enter, type in *new and press Enter again. Then you can start working on the maps
 
Also there are hotkeys from F1 to F11 or F12 in mapper, also in 2238 mapper when you hit "G" you can see grid.
