Where'd That 6th Toe Come From?
I've always HUGELY enjoyed the works of artists like Eno, vangelis and Jarre. Being a musician myself, I have always have been interested in possibly picking up a keyboard.

Now, I have around 900 dollers to spend on a keyboard. I was wondering if there are any very good(possibly performance quality) keyboards/synth that can be bought for that price.

I have a few friends that own a Microkorg, but that looks more like an add on than a full keyboard. I was looking at the Korg x50, X6 and Yamaha MM6 series. Although I've heard some pretty negative things about the x50, like the power unit being faulty.

What I was curious is, for a first time keyboard player with nearly a grand to spend that hopefully wants to be able to play shows with this equipment( i have amps, not a problem) what is a good choice for me?

Ok, now this is an old thread and I guess that you bought your keyboard already? If not, try to find a Korg MS-20 on ebay. It's legend. With the right effects (you can use the same pedals like the guitar thingies) you can create nearly every tune, and it sounds ace. I have Line 6 Delay (this huge green thing) and a random distortion pedal connected on it - it fits perfectly for many different styles of music and sounds ace.
