I came across this web page when doing some research on Millenial cults- Looks like a list of some of the stranger mass murders.

For example-
December 6, 2002 - Robert Pickton - Judge David Stone denied an application by Robert William Pickton's lawyer Peter Ritchie to impose a publication ban on the suspected serial killer's preliminary hearing. Pickton, a 53-year-old Port Coquitlam pig farmer, has been charged with murdering 15 of the 63 missing women from Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. Investigators have hinted at finding body parts, DNA and personal items in Pickton's ramshackled farm. Defence attorney argued that the prosecution's evidence against his client was so explosive, that it would be impossible to find an unbiased jury of 12 for his trial.

..... Robert Pickton - The family of another of Vancouver's missing women was notified by E-mail that the Missing Women's Task Force had found their daughter's DNA in Robert Pickton's Port Coquitlam pig farm. The victim, Angela Rebecca Jardine, disappeared four years ago. Pickton, who turns 53 today, has been charged with murdering 15 women on the list of 63 women who have disappeared from Vancouver's Downtown Eastside in recent years

December 12, 2002 - German Cannibal Killer - A man in the central German town of Rotenburg, near Kassel, confessed to murdering and eating another man. Prosecutors said the accused and the victim were apparently homosexuals who shared cannibalistic tendencies. The 41-year-old cannibal-killer videotaped the murder. The victim, also in his 40s, answered an Internet post which said: "Seeking young, well-built men aged 18 to 30 to slaughter." The man, a computer engineer, then sold all his possessions including a car before disappearing.

More reason why the internet is not a good place to meet people.

There's also a mummy story in there. Freaky.

Some more complete information

Also there was something a while back about a french prisoner smashing another prisoners head in with an ashtray and starting to eat his brain. Can't find the article anymore, but the food in that prison must have ben pretty bad...

You're behind the times if you're just now mentioning the German cannibal. :'D

That situation was very interesting though, as it made people think about the definition of murder. If the victim was killed and eaten with his consent, does that qualify as murder, or assisted suicide? And then, does that qualify as suicide, or the fulfillment of a service?

There's a Made For TV movie about the guy that's suspected (innocent until proven :'D) of killing his pregnant wife and dumping her body into the ocean, lake, some body of water.

The Scott Peterson Story, I think it's called.

Yeah, that's still a damn big deal.

What's funny is that movie was made about 8 months ago, before the trial even got underway and the facts were presented.

Also, I think it's the Laci Peterson Story

I distinctly remember it being called the Scott Peterson Story.

This was also made before his trial. Which I think is still going on.
