I've recently taken up making a new map, i've tried a few before and know what I'm doing, and i've been looking at other peoples maps. I noticed the purple tiles repeatedly popping up and i was wondering what it is they do, they seem to have no use to me as they dont appear as anything in game. Any help would be appreciated

Anytime you have either a doorway or roof opening in a building, the game engine will not automatically "pop" the roof of that building when the character is directly underneath it. So you have to use the purple tiles to place hold a certain area so roof tiles will "pop". They are invisible in the game so you don't have to worry about them showing up.
