Hi i started modding my FOT single player game and i am having a problem with inventory
Maybe there is something i am over looking or do i have to live with this My problem

JUST EDITED THIS SORRY ITS GONNA BE A LONG READ I GOT CARRIED AWAY
Example: I can put items into a raiders inventory and use the no loot and when i kill him the items do not show up k
Stuff like ammo, drugs, food, but if its something like a knife or guns and the raider uses it ( equipts it ) even with the no loot on i can still loot that item like guns, this is in his inventory not his hands k
If i use the function of putting it in the hands with the override check he uses the gun but naturally i still can loot it cuz i cannot control the item to be non lootable this way
And if i don't use the check the raider will not use the gun !!!
And by not using the check he will not use the gun he runs up to me and starts doing karate moves on me lol
My overall goal is to not be able to get items from kills i would like to get these items Example: by the footlockers and backpacks, bag, jar container, safe that sort of stuff so that i can control which guns my recrutes get and when they get em but i still want to be able to use other weapons for the raider ect... i just don't wan't my recrutes getting there hands on em
Like if i want to set up a mission with a raider using a high powered sniper gun well i don't want my characters gettin it till a couple missions away making it harder, we are using sticks and stones to get past sniper rifles ( oh hell ya )
And also its improving the game by forcing me to go steatlthy along with usung other skills that i will have to rely on like lock picking and stealing Example: if i know i got a tommy gun in a locked safe with tons of ammo , like the safe on mission 3 jessie it becomes alot more valible to me that i get it open cuz the raiders ain't givin nothing for free anymore, also it forces me to be sneaky and crawl around to get the job done instead of just going in all guns blazing
This is why its such a concern to me , i changed everything from putting farscpe music and pics creating a hole new atmostphere adding original fall 1 music even* into this from makeing all new char.ents for the actors this way i would have a set for missions and a diffrent set of actors for random encounters almost all the sprite pics have been changed, converted ammo so that most of it had all the ammo types like from ball to DU , fmj, that sort of thing , then made all new guns with some of the sprites i got here at NMA nice stuff by the way it spices things up alot ; ) plus i went into the missions and made sure if someone has blond hair it looks blonde not half ass like the company left it, thats why this game got such a bad rap cuz the employies didn't bother to polish it up a bit before stuffing it in a box and gift rappin it ....... you put the right music not that wind blowin garb and a decent recrute pool and you got a game ; )
I even made a workin giger counter and animal pelts so if i go hunting like in fall 1 and 2 i can make some cash for em thus bringing back some of the the old flavor of the game ; )
And all that work for nothing cuz now i run into a problem that my characters will get a hold of these more powerfull weapons and i will eventually use em ... like i am gonna toss that turbo plasma rifle away and keep my hunting rifle i thinks not
I've found this is not much of a challange if i have equal or better weapons then the AI cuz the human can always out blast the comp any day of the week
Now you can equipt armor on raiders and yet cannot loot it off there body and they use that ? but yet i can't seem to get that trick to work with the weapons
Plz don't come up with idears like oh you can ajust the quartermaster so he is harder to bargain with or just add more enemies to the map for a challange - well i can control all the ammo its the weapons example: when you first encounter the raider with the rocket launcher you get the weapon but he only has like 3 shots and your lucky to get 1 shell so its pretty much useless, but not all weapons fall into that catagory, i mostly got alot of weapons using .44mag, 9mm, 7.62 and made the entire list of em like 7.62 has fmj , ect... now , but even though i am using the hunting rifle with 7.62 i don't want to get ahold of the sniper rifle k , i even removed types like 30.06, 303, 2mm ec, cuz it was just too many and i didn't have enough diff spr's to do all of em plus making that many new entries in the items text file might overload it ya theres plenty in there now as it is.
I put //New added by Nuclear Wolf .. and you scroll 2 miles down before you even see an original FOT file heheheh
Ok i've been all over the text files looking for a loop hole hopping it would just be so easy to configure this prob with a couple key strokes and wolla presto, but i can't seem to find anything ... no i am starting to think it is hard coded on the disk, or ? can i use an editor to open something like the BOS.dat file as i am not too good with this stuff ; (
There has to be some place where this info is stored like the armor spot is non-lootable so i want to make the weapon spots the same way
I no nothing at all about triggers and script is there a way to srcipt this ? ( if i load up each mission sepretly ) and make it so the stuff in there hands can't be looted
Oh ya how i installed incase it has anything that could help is i did full install, installed the bonus cd mission, ran the US 1.27 patch, ran tactics booster full, and now theres not much left of the original files cuz i've changed em all , ya i don't bother using a diffrent folder, i modifyed origanl files like almost all of em so i gots my fingers X hoping someone can help
Any idears of what i could do would be helpful i will read em i didn't mean to steer anyone away with what i said above
I just really need a way to resolve this problem by actually making it so that there weapon slots will not be lootable k
I went back a fourth from loading a new game testing and back to the editor again till i couldn't take it anymore i set up the raiders inventory every possible way there is and no go ; (
Still if they use the weapons i can loot em
