FOT: Kansas city... exit grid doesn't show up

Jungle-Ras

First time out of the vault
I've finished the mission in Kansas city... The one with the intact Nuclear bomb, where you're supposed to get rid of some Mutants. All my objectives are marked in grey, but my exit grids doesn't appear?
The briefing says that some Teams from The BOS should arrive when the Muties are killed, and pick up the bomb... I've killed all of the muties, but nothing happens...

Why is that?

I'm running a totally unpatched version of FOT...
What am i supposed to do?

Uhm, patch it? Otherwise, you'll just get into trouble a few missions down the road

You should patch the game, definately. Suprised it's even running unpatched. As to your problem, patching won't actually help, unless you start over but before you do that have you been back to talk to the Ghoul Bishop, Defcon?

IIRC you need to talk to him again after you've repulsed the attacks and killed all the Mutants, for the exit grids to turn on.

Yes, indeed i tried talk to Defcon, and he tells me that I can take the nuke... But then nothing happens. And i can't talk with him again... no "talk-cursor" appears when i move the mouse over him

Patch Readme said:
*- Mission 11. Fixed bug which meant that if you killed the mutant generals and
then killed the mutant attackers the ghoul elder (Devcon) would not say his
last line of dialogue and the exit grid would not appear)
It's a bug fixed by the patch. Patch the game and then replay the level. Or replay the level and try leaving the mutant generals to last.

How do you guys find stuff like that?

It is rather simple, but I'll share the seekret with you.

When most people run into a game-stopping bug, they will look for a patch that will fix said bug. Most patches also come with readme files, detailing what they fix. They then go to "Edit->Find" in their document viewer of choice and put in a keyword at a time to see if the patch has mention of that particular issue. Which, considering that this is a game-stopping bug, probably means that it was a point of releasing a patch.
