fot running extremely slow after installation of 1.27 patch

before i installed the patch the game ran fine, except for the scrolling was a bit laggy but not overly annoying. after i installed the 1.27 patch the game is absolutely crap now. the only time it runs good is if there isn't anything moving or dead on the screen. otherwise it is so bad i can't play it anymore. i can't reinstall because my save games won't work with previous versions.

these are my specs
p 600
256 ram
64 mb graphics card
120 gig hard drive
win 2k
in other words it should be working fine

what the hell is wrong. any solutions please

Sorry to say this, but is sound like you need to reinstall it and then patch it up again.
FOT is quite buggy and slow at times.
