FOT: Tough Guy Crashes

Hey, I want to replay FOT again, but with the Tough Guy option selected. However, the game crashes during missions which effectively make this impossible.

How do I edit the missions to make the game think the zones are bunkers, so that I can save?

Is there another way?

I figured out how to edit the mission files, but half of the files are missing from the campaign folder. What's the deal with that? I verified the integrity of the game cache via Steam, but they aren't showing up.

Okay, I used this function on the forums called "Search" and it yielded fruitful results.

Just for future reference:

-To save during Tough Guy mode. Use the FOT Editor that is in the FOT directory(installed along with patch 1.27).

-You won't find all of the mission files to edit, only the patched files, therefore you must unpack the .bos files that contain the mission files.

-Those files are named: mis-core_A.bos, mis-core_B.bos, etc.

-Change the file type to .rar or .zip for whichever of those programs you use.

-Then extract the files to that directory and they should filter into the campaigns folder and subfolders.

-Now open the FOT editor which should be in the main directory along with BOS.exe

-Select Level editing and begin opening all of those .mis files that you extracted into the campaigns/missions/core folder.

-Open one at a time and once loaded press F7. Then on the left hand side of the screen there will appear a menu. Click on "Is Bunker" so that a check mark appears there.

-Now you can save during missions, but not on the world map.

-Enjoy double xp and not having to start over due to crashes.
