Fuel cell regulator dissapeared from inv. after i took it

I have an odd problem with my game, I'm about halfway through and just got the fuel cell controller from skeeter (killed him), then went to get the car, I got it fixed then looked for the fuel regulator in the inventory to add it while im at it but its nowhere to be seen. I'm sure as hell i picked it up from the highwayman car wreck in klamath. but i went back to be sure anyway and tried to pick it up in case i didn't in the first time..but nothing is picked up from the car which means it was taken the first time. and no. i didn't sell it..


anyone else got this problem?
 
Check any containers you might've used for storing.
Check if you REALLY didn't sell it.
Check your party members, if you have any.

Otherwise, well, you won't get it. :(
 
Check if you haven't been to the Den and in the businesses there, and then check if Tubby of Flick don't have your FCR to sell you.
