Gah, BF2 problems.

Alright, so I have a problem with BF2.

First, ze specs.

2.6 ghz Pentium 4
1 gig ram
128 mb Geforce 6600GT

Specs that should run BF2 perfectly, right? It runs CS:S pretty damn well, I'll tell you that.

Okay, so my problem. When I play BF2 and get into the more populated areas, the FPS slows down to a crawl. Sometimes, it's like a slideshow. It's totally awful, and I can't even play like that. I've tried lowering sound acceleration, deleting the bf2 folder, updating videocard drivers, and countless other crazy stuff. What should I do?

Alright, so I have a problem with BF2.

BF2 is notorious for its bug. And 1GB RAM is actually consider minimum for smooth perfomance. And ya GPU might not survive the onslaught of 64 players running around.

Solution: turn down everything first. Then slowly try different visual setup to find the one you think "nice graphics and smooth framerate".

Don't bother email EA. I have to teach them how to solve my Simcity 4 problem
