GameSpot Fallout Marathon

well, he's put sneak at 45% by the time he hit Shady Sands, so...

It's actually pretty good though, and they're really just showing how the game is played and not rushing to complete as much as possible.

I can't stand the stupid comments. 'Gawd, I hate PC elitists, looking down on people who can't afford to upgrade every month.'

What?! Hypocritical moron.

Also, it was indeed hilarious when the guy spoke to the Khans' leader (Garl?). He decided to join the raiders, and had to kill the women. :)

EDIT: Lol, they also didn't know they had to reload the 10mm ammo. It's just cruel... :)

Nice to see them showing how a first time player might approach it rather a hardcore fan with all the knowlege and experience under their belt. They're not doing everything perfectly but that's quite nice.

It's very cool so far, thanks for pointing this out NMA!

They said they would be going to switch to Fallout 2 any moment now, although they're only at Necropolis.

Edit: that's it.

They just did. Probably didn't even bother to complete a single quest or anything.

Well, they want to tackle Fallout 2, Brotherhood of Steel (WHY??!!), New Vegas and also apparently give a quick look to Van Buren (the leaked tech demo I assume?) so I guess they're kinda limited in time. For anyone that doesn't know how the game looks though, that was a pretty good slice of gameplay, even with all the little mistakes and the stuff like that.

Hah! They skip the temple of trials and load directly in front of the Elder... Doh!

haha, they are showing a low INT char. everyone take notes! :D

edit: haha, i forgot how utterly hilarious the dialogue with torr was: "they seem to be nocturnal in their feeding habits!". genius.

They said it was about celebrating Fallout's birthday or something, not showing off or doing walkthrough. So far I enjoy watching this while playing another game.

They said Fallout Tactics is next in line, and it's most likely soon. Hurray!

Edit: Tactics soon, off to Van Buren now!

I don't know if they've been playing BOS for a lot longer than Fallout 1 and 2 or if time has slowed down during this experience.

Aw... I missed the Let's Play for 1, 2 and T. :(
Any idea if they're gonna upload these videos or something?

Forgot how incredibly awesome it was to wander into Shady Sands on the way to Vault 15 and meet a woman who had escaped from it wounded but doesn't remember what happened.

It's just the most perfect progression in any game ever. It makes it seem like it is a real breathing living world that has shit going on and doesn't revolve around you. It also makes you wonder what happened there and eager to find out where the main quest is taking you so you have something intriguing to look forward to in the back of your mind while you mess around Shady Sands. That was just so excellent that it will not happen again.

In my opinion, Deus Ex went pretty good with this too.

Hey, I had to leave during their POS playthrough... Anyone knows the link to view the streaming again? I want to see Fallout 3 - NV playing.

Also yes, they spent a LOT of time on Fallout Tactics, like 10+ minutes stuck on worldmap with encounters again and again... Funny the news about Redux mod, that reduces the amount of random encounters, came during the streaming :P
