Gaming podcasts, recommendations.

Hi all,

I've listened to, and really enjoyed, the recent bioshock podcasts that's been released at "hxxp://www.2kgames.com/cultofrapture/podcasts.html"

And I've also listened to some of the "new generation podcast" at "hxxp://podcast.next-gen.biz/". Episode 7,8,17 and 18 are really good.

Does anyone know any other cool gaming podcasts? What I enjoy most is hearing interviews with people from within the industry on how they've developed a game and so forth.

Thanks.

I'm fairly sure the first and only recommendation you'll get for at least ten posts is to stop wasting time and bandwidth on podcasts. There are better uses for both.

Pshaw, Sir Bean!

The Game Theory podcast, which is put out by the Nex-Gen guys is really good, identical, really.

I like the PC Gamer podcast as well, which includes the producer and a host of Game Theory (Gary Whetta). PC Gamer has more interviews than any other podcast I've found, besides Game Theory/Nex-Gen. The last interview they did was with Chris Taylor (Supreme Command, Total Annihilation, etc.).

PC Magazine's podcast is good, though not gaming exclusive. Sometimes it's a little bit...giggly, though.

1up.com's Retronauts is a favorite of mine, it deals with old timey gaming.

Cranky Geeks is pretty good too, but can drone a little bit. They have a fair amount of interviews, though not typically with developers.

Maximum PC's is great, though it deals with more hardware news than games stuff.

Custom PC's podcast runs in much the same vein as Maximum PC, though it is more relaxed and British.

Geeklabel also does a good one, though they deal mostly with tabletop gaming, if you're interested in that at all.

What's with that? Podcasts are awesome! The best thing since radio! I download to my mp3 mobile and listen on the bus, in the subway, in the car, while taking a power-nap etc. You should try it! Economics, self-development, news, fitness.... just pick and choose.

Thanks Stag! Nice list! I'll check out some of those starting with PC Gamer and game theory!

If there's anyone who want to add something just jump right in :-)

Oh, and SModcast! Kevin Smith talking about shit which may or may not include games. Sharks are mentioned quite often.

Starship Sofa is also great, but doesn't deal with games at all. It's the best sci-fi podcast I've ever heard.

It's very relaxed, informative, and so on.
