Getting the Encounter Booster fix to work

I'm hoping this is the right forum...It seems to be it.

I'm running WinXP and I downloaded the Encounter Booster that was posted a couple of weeks ago. I unzipped it and was reading the txt file to know where to put it and I am stumped.

the txt file says

Place it inside fallout2/data/data/worlmap.txt foulder

I am looking at my folder where the program is located and I can't figure out where to put it. There is no second "data" folder nor is there a worldmap.txt folder. There is a worldmap.dat file, but that is the closest thing to what the instructions say.

Could someone give me a hand?

C'mon, cut him some slack. It's not like Haris is going to be helping him with this.

Try putting it in your C:/Program Files/Blackisle/Fallout2/data/Maps
folder, where "C" is the drive you installed it on (that's just an educated guess from me). I wonder what happened to the "bang on it until it works" mentality.

What does "couple" refer to there? Testicles, diamonds or invitations?

It's a modification because it changes game files in order to modify the game (tho only mildly).

Theres only one offical patch, everything else is a mod.

Try putting it in your C:/Program Files/Blackisle/Fallout2/data/Maps

The worldmap.txt file resides in the \fallout2\data directory, not the maps directory. I'd suggest putting it there.

Having problems with the Fallout 2 Encounter Booster...

Well, the instructions say to replace the existing map TXT file with the new one, right? But there is no Txt file...All I see that looks like a world map in my Fallout 2 folder is a DAT file
