Enough with the humans already. Ghouls have lived on Wasteland longer, its time they tell their story. Something planescape: torment's Nameless One type of character.
btw, im new here.

I think u should ne able to chose what kind of rase u should bee that this would affeckt the charckter eks: If u chose a supermutant u could not have over 7 in intelligence byt u could have 13 in enudurance strength and percepton.
but if u were a ghoul u could have more inteligence but lesser agilety percreption and charisma and on.

To play as other races i think is a must in F3

They would have to have the dialog options expanded by that number of races. If people thought that the first two were wordy, or PS:T, then imagine the reactions of NCR and Vault City, as no ghouls lived in either to speak of and would be considered as outcasts. Then also the rest of the place.

Nice idea, but IMO would be quite a LOT more involved to account for not only the different attributes and stats of the character, but also race as well. Would tie things up badly and we all know how Interplay has been on a rush binge for games lately. It would be Fallout 2 bugfest all over again, perhaps worse.

Or as ill-crontrived as Nox or watered like Daggerfall.

There's been so few games that could give depth with so many variables, and trying to get a good depth with what was set forth in Fallout was almost a bust for Fallout 2. Adding in more would likely cause it to really skew somewhere.

But thats the beauty of my idea, no on will like you. thats the way Wasteland is. Karma will have a major effect on gameplay.

Ghouls aren't even allowed in a lot of places. If the game is centered around a ghoul, two things will happen:

1.) Sneak skill will be absurdly more useful than any other skill in the game, because you'll have to always sneak. This will also render the speech skill utterly useless since most people would sooner shoot a ghoul than talk with them.

2.) They'll have to pretty up the "segregation" parts of Fallout and Fallout 2, or remove it completely.

They should have another vault dweller become the main person of the game like in Fallout 1.

[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON Jul-08-01 AT 01:06AM (GMT)[p]I think they should have a system so that you could decide if the person from the PREVIOUS game was good or evil. The way your ancestor acted would decide how the people in some places respond. If you choose your ancestor to be evil, places like Gecko and Vault City would be different if they exist at all.

This brings to light one of the things people have been saying:

What about a game that takes the consequences of the previous games into effect?

Fallout and Fallout 2 are still great games to play and always will remain as such. But what if you could take the end savegame of one and have it affect the scene of the other? Like if the Vault Dweller was a mean bastard, would he develop a nice village or one like those who kidnapped Tandi? Was he a saint, would he have made a more benevolent place?

This gives the player more incentive to play through and find all the game possibilities and depth, in not just one game, but a few.
