Here's his posthumous proof:

Okay, it's now obvious that the ENTIRE concept staff completely missed that Fallout was supposed to be retro. How they managed to miss the whole theme and setting, I have no idea, but it's become pretty fucking ludicrous.

The robots did it. Look on the news page for shots. As you can tell, I'm an afficionado on retro-style robots. http://fallout.gamestats.com/forum/index.cgi?az=show_thread&om=941&forum=ForumID2&omm=14

Two things these have to deal with retro:

Jack and shit, and Jack just shook his head in disgust and walked away.

Seriously, what the fuck here, folks?

http://www.freelancer.ag.ru/fallout/screens3/renders2/15s.jpg Seriously out of place robot.
http://www.freelancer.ag.ru/fallout/screens3/renders2/16s.jpg "Johnny Five is aliiiiiive!"
http://www.freelancer.ag.ru/fallout/screens3/renders2/17s.jpg Kind of like the first one.
http://www.freelancer.ag.ru/fallout/screens3/renders2/18s.jpg Ever see the futuristic movie with the assassination spiders that inject and squirt acid? It's a movie from the 80's (and no, not retro). Wonder what this is doing here.
http://www.freelancer.ag.ru/fallout/screens3/renders2/19s.jpg This defies comment. It really does.

To sum this all up:

Where's C3-PO? Oh wait, you don't have THAT license, though he'd probably turn out to be a talking trash-can or something.

Dennis Leary stole my song! That...asshole!

"Robert, your time has come!"

"OOOH! Thank you, Master!"

"Don't mention it."

*Robert explodes in a shower of sparks*

It's me, Jack Brown! The wind-up ass-hole!

Try Arcanum, by those who brought you the first Fallout:

He's not dead because he was never really alive.

Seriously, Wasteland wasn't retro-tech as much as Fallout was, but I think it had some 'retro' in it (probably because of haircuts and moustaches).

Actually, the last two are the only ones I can really see fitting in to the universe.

If you've ever seen the movie, "War of the Worlds", circa 1953, that second to last one looks very similar to the invader's space ship.

It's actually got the dot frosted glass that was popular for Sci-Fi at the time, it's bulky, it looks like cast metal, and there's very little movement to those legs.

Is the last one supposed to be like a Mr. Handy? It looks similar to Mr. Handy, with less legs. Why they didn't just remake Mr. Handy though...

Heck, why didn't they remake all the robots from Fallout and Fallout 2? Mr. Handy, the Brain Bots, and the Sentry Bots..
