Hey everybody... I was playing FO2 into the wee hours last night when I found something that rocked my world! I haven't heard anybody mention this before, so maybe this is groundbreaking news! Anyways, here goes.

I had followed Pretty Boy Lloyd to Golgotha so I spy on him and whack him after he had done his job. Afterwards, I decided to walk around to admire the scenery. Off in the distance I heard cries for help, and I complied. After digging up the grave, I was astonished to find a poor ghoul underneath all the rubble. Luckily he was a-okay and started to walk away.

Okay, that's all old stuff that we all know from before, so this is where it gets exciting! One of my party members was Lenny from Gecko, which is the important part here. After I dug up the ghoul, Lenny recognized the poor ghoul as his father! They exchanged just a couple of lines and the dad still walks away, but how often do you see a ghoul family reunion? It brought a tear to my eye...

Please let me know if this is brand spanking news!

It's one of the least-known secrets, that's for sure (hell I didn't know about it before I looked it up), but you're not the first one.

Thanks for replying. I'm glad to know that I didn't post something that was glaring obvious to the average player. I'm going to keep Lenny in my gang for a least a while to see if there are any other secret ghoul things, like saving the ghoul in the Den or the one stuck under the car in Broken Hills. Luckily I haven't done those yet, so I'll try to let you guys know any other ghoul related things.

I guess this would be further proof that ghouls weren't created by the FEV, but rather by radiation, which is why they can have kids. Ghouls are able to procreate (or something like that, I just don't want to visualize green skin falling off in the heat of passion!) and Mutants are not. Ah, the sweet science of the post-nuclear nuclear family structure of nuclearly created individuals! Perhaps the Fallout Bible could benefit from this insight?

Please let me know of any other "ghoul ghoodies."

Man, I hate it when a new secret is found out. Now I gotta reinstall Fallout 2.

Hey again

Sadly, the other ghoul activities I mentioned didn't do anything besides the norm. But at least that was a good one! Still, there may be more...

the 'family reunion' between lenny and the ghoul in golgotha is actually mentioned in per's walkthrough. just thought i'd let you know.
