Grades of Fot

Give me the grade you could have put on the demo yet.
Explain why ?

me: 6/10
cuz:no good description of items and its so much like the game COMMANDO.
 
6/10 seems fair.

It needs lots of work. For example:

1.) No Hostility Auras like Fallout had, it really needs them.
2.) End Combat doesn't work well at all.
3.) Needs an AP meter on the move cursor, like Fallout.
4.) No "put away" and "take out" weapons animations?
5.) AI is dumb, especially the pathing AI.
6.) Regeneration rate of APs in Real Time need balancing with TB play.
7.) Openning the inventory needs to take APs, it's "free" now.
8.) It sometimes crashes, including locking up on some people's machines when it loads.
 
I agree 100% on all of those except number 7. Opening your inventory is free, but it takes ap's to do certain things. I think this is better than in F1 and F2 because it was kinda unfair that you could open your inventory and reload all your guns, heal yourself, switch weapons, and do a lot of stuff for just 4 ap. I believe its better balanced this way.

I used to have a problem with the cursor locking up but it seems to have disapered after a restart. I agree with Freddy that looking at your inventory should be free, it's not overly exerting to remember what you are carrying. The path finding AI is horrid at times but I'm sure it will be improved and even if it isn't I could probably cope. I liked it overal and found it quite enjoyable to play around with.

I have to disagree with it being like Commandos though. Commandos gave each team member a half dozen weapon, most that he shared with many or all of the other members of the team. COmmandos tried to focus on stealth though that rarely lasted. Also Commandos let you see the FOV of your enemies which would be handy in FOT but horribly unbalancing.

I always thought of 4AP inventory like reaching in your bag, grabbing 10 stimpacks at once and ramming them in my arm at the same time. :)
