Graphics Card recommendation

Can anyone recommend me a GFX card which is better than either an ATI RADEON 9800 or NVIDIA GEFORCE 6600 and is:
AGP
Can run on 300W or less
Doesn't require a DVI output (not necessary with my monitor)

Any help would be much appreciated.
 
pffff that 300W greatly limits your choices... it wont be a huge improvement over an 6600GT unless you upgrade the PSU as well, i guess.

i guess you're staring at something along the lines of a 7600GS or something? i'll check in more detail tomorrow.
 
How about a X1600 pro? I seriously wouldn't feel comfortable with that cpu wattage however. Just get a decent forty quid one and your set.
 
6800GT, If you get a zalman (fan) you can OC it pretty mutch.

The minimum power requirement for this card is a 300W. But i think it will work fine.
 
a 6800GT is really bad advice. the card itself is ok, but the power requirements are surely not something i'd recommend to someone with a vanilla 300W PSU, no matter what the minimum requirements say.
 
Money isn't really an issue. I just have a shuttle case with a build in PSU and so it would be a bitch to change it all.

Preferably I'd like not to have to buy a new case (maybe overclock the current FX 5900GT and get it near 6600 standard-no idea how viable that is).
 
Once you start overclocking it draws more power form the psu... but if your not fond of your gfx card and dont care if it dies, I would overclock the shit out of it :)

I would just start to save up for another pc in the future...

P.S - 5900gt is faster then a 6600
