Great Channel For the History of World War I

Wept for Zion
For anyone who loves history like me, boy do I have a Youtube channel for you.

Essentially this channel, The Great War, started on the 100th year anniversary of the war. A new video about the war comes out every week on Thursday, and in the video they will discuss what actually occurred during the war on that same week.

What makes it really fascinating is that every event they describe happened exactly 100 years from the day they described it. The channel has been going on for 2 years now and is currently on the British Surrender of Kut.

Since I know we have a lot of Europeans here on the forums, I will say that the channel is nonbiased towards all sides. They may answer biased questions asked towards them, but the channel and the videos itself are nonbiased. It's simply meant to showcase the horror of the war as it actually happened 100 years ago, week by week. They also have a spin-off series on the channel regarding weaponry (guns and vehicles) used during the war.

Check it out history buffs, you won't be disappointed! https://www.youtube.com/user/TheGreatWar/featured

Just thought I'd share because, compared to other channels, they are somewhat small. I only recently discovered them myself, and so I really wanted to share this fantastic series on the war.

The Great War, Forgotten Weapons and C&R Arsenal are some of my subs related to the subject.

You enjoy WWI history as well?

You know, it makes me really sad to think about how every single person who fought in WWI is now deceased. There's no one left to remember the war as it happened. Every day a new group of teenagers go to history class and never learn a thing about one of the biggest conflicts in human history.

I hope that channels like these will help keep the War to End All Wars alive for the people of tomorrow. History's so important.

WW1 is so interesting, it's a morally grey conflict too. The British were fighting an empire very much like their own. It's why I love Darkest Hour: A Hearts of Iron game.
While it's a strategy game primarily for WW2, it has a 1914 scenario so I can try out my WW1 strategies as different countries.

The biggest topic that interests me the most on the great wars is the evolution of weaponry. Fun fact, most people don't know that a water cooled barrel machine gun maintained with a constant supply of fresh water can easily out preform our current modern machine guns to an absurd degree.

Also the the ingenuity of the weapon designs rival art in my opinion.
Its a shame they didn't quite figure out metal linked belts for the machine guns during that conflict since they were all still using the cloth belts or magazines.
