HELP GAME CRASHES

Everytime I go into macomb my computer says BOS.exe has had and error and quits. Im playing macomb as the second mission. Beat Peorei fisrt then went to macomb. It quits everytime i close the window with the mission briefing help cant continue until this is fixed.
 
The only solution I can think of is to:

1. Install patch 1.27

2. Reinstall the game if that doesn't help. You will lose your savegames and have to start over from the beginning.
