help in quincy

I have two questions that I could use alittle help on.

1) how do i turn off the siren? I went up and flipped the switch but it looks like it is still running.

2) How do you use dynamite and mines (antipersonal mines)

Flip the switch ONCE. It will be off, but the siren will still look like its running. If you want to be sure, switch your minimap to text mode, and you should see a message saying you gained like 800 xp when you flip it.

And you use dynamite by putting it in your inventory slot, then click it to activate it, and set the timer. Then drop it somewhere. For mines, do the same thing, but clicking it will activate and drop it. If you want to pick it back up youll have to disarm it first.
 
thanks for the help but it seems like they still can set off alarms. do i have to break all the little alarm (horns) that are placed around the city?

Yes, you have to break them all but for one building. If you have saved the mayor, her daughter, cleaned out the generator room and saved the prostitutes and are now going to save Felix the alarms in that building are tough to disarm because their are a lot of them and a lot of people who may detect you. I tried turning of those alarms but always got detected. What i did whas i turned one character (the one with the best weapons) on sneak mode and brought her to the roof where i had a good shot at the commander. I then turned of sneak and had that conversation with him. Opened up with burst fire on him. I hit Felix too but the commander dropped and Felix was still alive allthough he was wounded. Now the alarms will sound but you have one person to protect Felix and the others can come in to finish the remaining beastlords and deathclaws.

How do you break the alarms? sometimes I go up to them and left click on them and it says "broke alarm". sometimes it says nothing happened. is there a certain way to do it or a certain skill to use?
 
I guess it depends on the fact if the alarm has a use or not. If you killed all the beastlords in Quincy then the alarms have no more use and even if the are still working the beastlords can not be alerted because of the lack of "life force".
