Help on World Map

I've just started playing FOT, and i'm having trouble finding any decent locations. I've got Brahmin Wood and the Alpha Bunker, and then like three other smaller places, but none that are any fun.

Can anyone help and tell me the directions to a decent place, or tell me where I can find a map to use?
 
Go back to your bunker and talk to General Barnaky. He will give you the next mission. Then the location will show up on the world map.
 
The game has a linear storyline, which means that a new mission won't show up until you complete the next one. Unless you are just looking for special encounters. I guess these are the 'fun' parts. They are random but can be found in specific locations. You might want to do a search in the forums for the locations. There has been several threads that list all of the locations.
 
Thanks, i'll do that... and yeah, i've cleared virtually the whole world map looking for the other cities, so i've came accross quite a bit of randoms so far.
 
when i fisrt started playing i had the same problem
fot is alot more different than fallout 1 and 2
you only really get special encounters on the world map
and to get major locations you have to get them through a mission [by talkin to general barnakey]
