We've gotten word from Markus which want to put together a team to build a new mod/expansion for Fallout 2 and needs help of course, here's what the man said:
I am interested in making a Brotherhood of steel addon for fallout 2. I was thinking of implementing a bunch of quests that would tie into the fallout 2 plot line.

I am looking for all sorts of people: Artists, Programers, Level Designers, Scripters, Sound effects editor, Web designers, Web masters, and if possible a Digital Animation Artist. I KNOW! I can not do this alone... and I need IMPUT and HELP from everyone I can get.. I also need Writers, Creative input, and anything you might think can help such the project. If you are interested in working on something like this Please email me. I am also looking for someone to help spearhead the project with me.

Please Conatact me at Brotherhood_Mod@hotmail.com and I will reply to you within 48 hours.
So basicly he's got nothing except an idea, well if you want to help the guy out do email him.

Expect => except
Maybe? :p

And as with most things everything has to start with an idea.

zzZZz...yeah thanks, was tired when I posted...evidently..

n/o, but shouldn't markus join an existing mod first ? I mean; he has no team, just an idea. All mods are asking for new members because the drop-out rate is rather huge. After you worked on a mod that actually gets released, you can use that xp & contact with other members to start a new mod.

There's no point in having 300 mods started which will never make it. Join forces, dammit !

- Guess I'm just tired of all these mods that never actually make it to a version 1.0 (except for those tactic mods). :? -

My 2 cents.

That would be a good idea, kind of like an apprenticeship. And yes the most important thing on a mod team is dedication, once you get that core team of relyable people you should be fine.

I agree one hundred percent, he has some talent, could really help out the few projects that are already working .

Always have room for the right people at MR ;) (Also except large bribes, err I mean entry fees) Just need to introduce yourself in the public forum

*Edit* Also wouldnt hurt to call around places like Fallout yurop and the black Isles mod sites...

Once FMF comes back up, someone with the necessary skills can easily join the team as well. There are no shortage of existing projects happy to accept new people.

Though, every now and then there is the odd person who thinks we should all abandon our existing work and use their idea.

Or the ocasional 'snopper' who joins the team and reads the story and is never heard from again. Though I think it would be usefull in the future to share resources between the various mod teams. New scenery etc... Along with tutorials

*EDIT*

Also I have already told some of you I recomend that you link up with another mod team that is trying to start up right. I will post the same over in that thread for them to look here.

http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6171

And also I think it would be good for the various mod teams to cooperate and help each other out as this is good for the community and FO2 fans in general, so I will try and help you get started as much as I can. So feel free to drop into the MR forums
