Help with weapon

Gustavo Ganso

First time out of the vault
So, I made this model and could import to the game, but i must made something wrong, the cylinder doesn't stay in correct position.
When making the .nif, I paste over the magnun pistol.

When I reload the weapon, the animation is showed right, but in the worong postion again.

Does anyone know what I made wrong?

I dont know much about how models for F3 work, but i guess that cylinder axis wasnt aligned properly when creating the object.

You may need to move the cylinder axis to be aligned with the main gun axis...hope this help.:D

Thanks, i tried this but doesn't work, the gun was misplaced, but even after alignment the problem persist, so I tried with the original magnun.nif, the same problem occurs, the problem must be somewhere in the esp file.

Try placing cilinder wheres red circle so it should be in right place...i hope you know what i mean...

Thanks guys, it seens to be solved. When remaking the .esp I discovered that are 3-4 models of the magnun, the one I was using (magnun.nif) is a bugged model, I think. After changed the base model (44magnun.nif) everything seens to be working.

I also ran into similar problems. One thing you can do is delete your model's history. Deleting history fixed all my Nif geometry issues.

I import the weapon in .obj format, in nifskope, paste over a model of the the game. On this link, are some tutos in the lower of page.

Hey Gustavo. I'm nearly done with my mod/mod pack. I edited almost everything. Weapons, music, textures stats (except for the ones on armors like +1 Agility). Here's how it looks now.

It's a combination of all 3 Power Armors from FO1/2/3 ingame models from FO1/2

, intro and the one worn by Rombus.

The BOS guys are also wearing different helmets recon, the other power armor and the good old T-51b helmet.

It includes a lot of work from many other modders merged in to one big package .

But I cannot seem to edit the .nif files. I just don't know how really. So I'd like to know if you can edit the Power Armors to remove their bolts. I tried the textures but it seems many of them are also a part of the 3D model. And they still got some bumps sticking out on the arm and leg parts. Actually it could use a lot of improving so if you can provide any help I’d be very grateful.

Btw I have seen the links to the tutorial but I’m just not good at it… well not yet at least.

I'm working on other models now, but I'll check it.
First i need to understand what i need to do. Want to remove the bolts from shoulders?

No, no those are good. I’m trying to make this armor look all advanced but at the same time it should look like the original T-51b Armor. You see. There are those little bumps on the part of the Power Armor that’s covering the muscles. I better make a picture and describe everything in the morning. I’m almost done with all the textures and files. Just need to see how they look ingame now.

Would it be possible to add a script that slightly rescales your model when you wear the Power Armors? It really loses it's "walking tank" effect when you're just about the same size as everyone else.

OK I had to do a little bit more thinking and then I had to find a good example of how the chest part should look. Anyway here's how the armor should look like. Hope it's readable.

Now for the chest and how it should look:

Just add some metal like muscles under it instead of the weird looking chainmail. If you look closely at the arms are of the FO1 T-51b you'll see some of those really look like muscles.

It should really look all high tech. Instead of chainmail/plate.

Van Buren was going to add a Mk III Advanced Power Armor called ATHENA... buuut, they never got that far- I think.

That’s a little bit too much… I was thinking more of bringing the T-51b on pair with the advanced versions. The brotherhood wouldn’t stop on using old prewar armor technology. They would also seek ways to upgrade it. Making more advanced versions of the Hardened types.

Wow I must say that new power armor is incredible! There was always something wrong with it that I could never point out, but I honestly think that you have transformed shitty plate mail to power armor as it should be.
