HL episode 1

So I'm poor and don't have a top of the line computer but I was at Circut City the other day looking for deals because they are going out of business in my area (phoenix) and I saw Half Life 2 episode pack w/ both episode 1 and 2. It was only 10 bucks so I was like "SCORE". I remember people saying that episode one was too short - man they weren't kidding. If I HAD bought it when it came out for 30 bucks or whatever.... I'd be PISSED. Luckily for me I got episode 2 right here that I can dive into.
 
I was pretty shocked at how short it was too. I don't have the money for Episode 2 though. Guess it's better than waiting for 2100 for Half Life 3.
 
Meh, I didn't like Episode 2 that much. Too many areas felt like a grind. Kill all of those antloins in the cave! For like 20 minutes! The ending fights dragged on too.
 
Yeah I hated the ant-lion cave grind also. I wish they would just ditch the ant-lions in general, ha. I loved the end-battle though, it was probably the best area to use the grav-gun yet. Taking out Hunters with a well placed tree-log was fun.

They need to stop with the physics-gun gimmicks though. Hopefully Ep. 3 will tune it down a bit.
 
I do agree the physics thing is played out. They always innovate though, so I look forward to their next endeavor.
