HL Gmod

Vault Dweller
Is someone here playing Half Life Garry's Mod?

A final was released on steam, costs 10 bucks and it's worth it.

Gmod is a 'physics sandbox'.
You have heaps of tools and you can spawn objects from you source based games installed and weld them together, give them wheels, thrusters, antigrav balls that make items float, etc. etc. etc.

It's sort of like LEGO but with source objects.
Version 9 is free, but the final is 10 bucks. So try the free one first, but the final has better graphics, more and better tools and the hover balls and lots of other stuff missing in version 9.

I played around with some of the earlier versions and had a lot of fun with them. I don't think I'd actually pay for it, but I'm glad Valve is giving him a chance to make some money from it.

gmod is great, as fun as a playdough when you were a kid, and the same principles... be creative!

I've built a working rollercoaster (still trying to work the kinks out of it though, you die going through some parts of it), built a dumpster launcher, to shoot at a army of zombies, and catapults to throw people 100s of feet through the air.

I've seen some pretty crazy movies of what people made in gmod at youtube.com, such as a 20 foot axe wielding, laser shooting robot. No idea how to do anything that advanced yet, I want to know how he got that thing to walk, even if it did walk like it had too many beers, and it fell over once in the video.

Anyway, this mod is great, and it's free! You can even download object packs and tools for it (portal gun is fun), to expand your virtual sandbox.

If somebody was to make a mod I could play in HL2 in which there would be just a huge city street, numerous zombies (sans headcrab) killable with one shot to the head spawning all the time and the pistol and the shotgun, heck, he'd get a cookie straight away.

You mean so they can make some money off of it, and throw him a bone.

DDD that would force me to buy it.

It already exists, except the game isn't called Half Life 2, but VtM: Bloodlines.

Still great, even greater, but not for free anymore. 10 bucks now.

Anyway, I love building robots, I gonna check YouTube for the robot. I once tried to make one, and when I was almost finished, the bloody server crashed because some cunt spawned 5436534735735 exlossive barrels and ignited them.

After that you motivation with robots goes down, but creating post apocalyptic buggies and shit is also fun! :D

Are you serious or are you just referring to that zombie church level?
If you are serious, where can I download it?

A improvised V 8 interceptor. You can actually drive it.

It's basing on something totaly different and limited to the stuff you got there. Use your phantasy and be aware of the word IMPROVISED.

Elephantasy!

Looks like a black Lada with Dodge Ram wheels. And two huge canisters in the trunk. Smaller wheels!

I no-colided the HL buggy and one of the junk cars in the came what I painted black before. Added some shit here and there and welded everything together. There. East Europe Interceptor.

Trabant.

Hey vox, what tool makes that writing on the wall, I can't seem to find it?

To anyone who has the game, i recommend trying this out:

Build remote vehicles that are pretty light, and use static cameras. These vehicles have to be able to fly, and maneuver pretty fast. Me and a friend found that we could have decent dog fights by having dynamite on a winch on the bottom of our planes, and then lowering it and detonating, to destroy the enemy craft. This is of course only really fun if both vehicles have hover balls on destructible parts of the craft.
