Home video MPEG to dvd player?

Lost Metal

Olde Skull
I have a .mpg file of a video and I want to be able to burn it onto a cd and play it on my dvd player...

I don't know if this is even possible, can anybody else help me with this?

I think it mainly depends on the features of your DVD player - if it supports playback of different media types (ie mpeg, avi, vcd, mp3, etc) you should be able to just pop in the cd and play it. If not, you're probably out of luck unless you have a DVD burner.

Get Nero (a CD burning program) and make a VCD out of the .mpeg file (or more than one .mpeg). If your DVD player supports it then put in the CD and it will play. With Nero you can make menus as well. I use VCD's for music video's.
