Horrigan kills... who's Matt?

Remus

First time out of the vault
I know that Horrigan has killed the family in the Wasteland, Gruthar and some Matt, but I've never found this Matt? I can't remember who he is, or where he is. Could somebody help me?

Matt is located outside the brotherhood bunker, in both San Fransisco and the Den.

After you complete the quest for the vertibird plans, and leave San Francisco for a while (or go into the tank for the module treatment) then Matt is gone, and you can ask the computer what happened to him. It will show Horrigan blowing him away in the middle of the dining room downstairs - if you're running fast enough, Marcus goes walking across the screen while it's happening too. You just can't trust those mutants!

No, he doesn't. It takes place on a separate map. Also, why did you write that? It's not the answer to Remus's question, it's just a spoiler.

Are you sure Per?
I'm pretty certain that I've had a similar thing happen with Dogmeat. He was stood in the main room in the bunker when I used the computer and, sure enough, he was stood there during the cutscene.

Thanks, guys! Now I know it... I haven't played Fallout in a while and I never remembered the names of those Brotherhoodians and ain't no way I would've thought of checking downstairs. Anyway... thanks again!

I'm quite sure that the script moves you (invisible) to another map elevation with a replica of the bunker interior without touching your NPCs, but perhaps they are automatically transferred with you. I've never seen NPCs in that sequence myself, though. The V13 sequence does happen on the same map and NPCs are not turned invisible, so it could be that you're thinking of.

About 20 minutes ago with my new shit-kicker unarmed character i went to bunker and "used" the comp and started the video and my three npc's; cassidy, gorn, and sulik where standing right between franky and matt. The odd part was that they were all standing right next to me when i used the computer, not in the middle of the room like in the movie.

OK, apparently whenever you shift to another elevation your NPCs follow you automatically, just as if you'd stepped on an exit grid. But they should, as you say, appear right next to you each time and not cross the room in the same way that they do in V13.

To be off topic for a minute, I noticed this a few minutes ago in your guide
If you're playing a female character named Buffy and wear any of the four types of leather armour, Rebecca will have a few "trinkets" for you: $1000, 5 Stimpaks, a Metal Armor, a 10mm SMG, 120 10mm JHP, a Plasma Grenade and a Flower. Isn't this what they call favouritism?
Is this actually true??

Rosh, someone said you were in the UV random encounter - which one would that be? Hatchetman? Amish Commando?

you'd think it'd be impossible for a fallout fan not to know what UV is... but then of course you get proved wrong by Kahgan :p

anyhow, they caused quite some ruckus back in the 'old' days thereby warranting a special encounter or two. the one that springs to mind is the mob attacking a single NPC after some sort of discussion. pretty much a lynch party i guess :)

The person shot on the random encounter was the real Grim Reaper (not the fake one that frequents our boards), a notorious spammer on the UV.
He repeatedly threatened the board mod/admin/regular (cross out what's not right) Doombot, among other things.
