How do I flatten a mousepad?

So I bought The Big Lebowski Kit(fan of the movie and also a collector) and it came with a mousepad.. Problem is, the mouse pad is all warped up and wavy, impossible to use in its current state. The top is made out of some sort of fabric and the back is out of rubber. I tried ironing the fabric part but it's still all warped up and shit. Any ideas? But please don't make me put it in oven or something, I don't want to mess it up more than it is.

It really tied my desk together

Maybe put it between two sheets of cardboard under your mattress and sleep on it? Should press it nicely.

I put inside a book and then I put the book under the TV stand. Although I've read some more online and it seems I'm not the only one with this problem. Some people said that it might stay like that forever

Well I managed to fix it a bit. I washed it and then I left it overnight in the tub with two bibles on it(hey I found a use for them). It's not completely flat but it's usable now.
