Stuck how? What's your situation?
In general, I can tell you that you'll want to try and get past those mutants. How you do so is up to you... talk, sneak, or fight, take your pick. None of the three are all that easy at this point in the game, and failing either of the first two will result in the third. If it's too much for you, you may want to leave town, take on a few quests for XP and pick up an extra companion or two.
As an aside, you may benefit from exploring the sewers of Necropolis while you're here. There are a few areas that you can only reach from underground, and you may make a few discoveries that prove interesting and even marginally useful as long as you remember to mind your manners.
