Ok guys, nother quick question. I read the threads concerning npcs and tons of FAQs concerning them, and still I come up with the same unanswered question. How do you equip armor on NPCs? If they have it in their inventory does at count as equipped? And if they have multiple types or armor do they choose the best one? Sorry if this a dumb question (but I did a pretty thorough search) and I dont have the manual so Im not sure if this was covered in there. Anyway, thanks in advance.

Do you mean Fallout 1 or Fallout 2?
In Fallout 1 it is impossible to equip an NPC with armour .
In Fallout 2 you need to trade/plant/give the NPC the armour (this can be done in the Trade interface) , then click Combat Options on the dialogue screen and click "Use Best Armor" next to the NPC's portrait and the currently worn armour description (which should be "<none>" if the NPC hasn't got armour already.

nonono i have the cd per (btw, your walkthrough is awesome and pretty funny too) im guessing its on the cd, so ill have to take a look later.

I can't recall, nor read your mind, which of the two games are you playing:
Fallout: Can't do.
Fallout 2: Talk to your NPC, trade him the armour, select "Combat settings", then "Use best armor".

How do you equip your party with armor?
I had a party of vic, sulik, and marcus(and cyber dog but thats irrevelant) and I plant armor on them but they dont equip it.I planted everything from leather armor to advanced power armor and they wont equip them.And as a result of that, marcus was the only guy to survive the fight with frank morrigan at the end, the rest were killed(by sgt. granite and his guys) and he only survived through sheer luck.
For future playthroughs I want to know how to equip armor on my guys

Yeah, what he said. Of course, it's only the strictly humanoid characters that can wear armor-- unfortunately, you can't armor up Marcus, Goris, Skynet, etc., which actually ends up leaving the heavier hitters depressingly prone to instagibbing.
