How is your wish list turning out

First time out of the vault
So a while back there was a thread on what we'd like to see in New Vegas. I think its time to dig up what we said and see how it turned out.

1: less focus on wasteland, more focus on the civilization that has sprung up since then. Not that I didn't enjoy exploring the ruins of DC, but I want towns and the like that have more than two dozen people, and I want to be able to spend time in those town beyond stopping in to get a fetch quest or shop.

2 I want my gauss rifle back. More guns in general sure, but especially my gauss rifle.

3 Evil options that aren't so extreme. I want to play a sociopath, that means manipulating people to get what I want and killing people for the right price. It does not mean setting off nukes for meager sums.

4. Fix the third person view, really this shouldn't be so hard, my feet should not look like I'm on some bizarre treadmill, and my character shouldn't be hunched over just cause I move the view.

5. I'd like to be able to read whats on the screen. Most people do not sit 2 feet away from the screen on console games, even with my new big HD screen its difficult to read, on the old standard def CRT it was downright impossible. If they could implement readable text on the NES, they can do it on an xbox.

6. I want to nuke Vegas. Yes this conflicts with #3, I don't care, I want to get a whole string of nukes, set them up in the Rio casino, and make sure the place stays dead this time. Barring that, I'd at least like to blow up the Rio.

1 is dead on, I got exactly what I wanted there.

2: I don't have a Gauss rifle yet, but I've seen them, and will have them one way or another.

3 Pretty much, Caesar's Legion is an extreme group, but they aren't paper villains, there are potentially real benefits to siding with them.

4 Yes! It's not perfect but its workable.

5: I don't have an SD TV anymore, so I'm not sure about that.

6: I'm pretty sure I don't get to nuke it, but I'm still holding out for leveling it with artillery, will have to try all the factions till I get one that I can do it with.

Dialogue, story, acting, overall quality (except for the mechanic side)
Oh, and harder Super Mutants. I'm at level 11 and I still am no match to the State of Utolbitha :D

It's good and scavenging is more fun when you actually have to do it to get money to get vital resources.

Actually, money are still too easy. New casinos are too easy to bankrupt with your l33t blackjack skills :P.

I'm absolutely loving it, bugs and all. I wished that there would be lots of direct references to Fallout 2, and sure enough there are. I wanted trademark humour, and there it is - Dr Ava Strauss in Primm is a crackup :)

I even wanted the Chosen One's broken down Highwayman to be in the game, and alas, there it is, along with the Crashed Vertibird. Incredible.

The 'feel' of New Vegas is astonishingly close to FO2, I'm really impressed with how they've surpassed expectations.

Haven't got into the Strip yet but I'm having fun making from day to day, getting water to drink and selling what I've picked up during my adventures.
