How to get Fallout Wall-Posters to the community?

First time out of the vault
Assuming there was an artist willing to do high quality fallout poster art (and yes, let's assume the 'posters' assumed in this discussion are professional in quality etc), is there any way he could get them to people in the community and get economical compensation for it? It is illegal to sell art containing the intellectual property of others - i.e. Interplay wouldn't allow anyone selling Fallout posters with their registered stuff on it, such as the fallout franchise.

So what does one do - would interplay would be interested? I doubt it. They don't need any more promo art. Or do they? Perhaps in relations to... Bethesda, who are creating fallout 3. One would approach them and offer to do some stuff for free, and if they like it, they could sell it (and get royalties). Everybody wins.

The most realistic feasable option I can think of is creating what is basically fallout art but without any of the trade marketed recognizable symbols and logos. Then pimping it through some print service such as deviantart prints service (High quality, for sure). It would be completely legal. One merely claims it was inspired by Fallout (which it was) but still, the theme/feel etc should be relatively intact. Just not text/logos pertaining to the game.

And, is there anyone out there who'd want to purchase posters like that anyway?

If you made one, you could always try selling it on eBay (which sucks, BTW) As for a "Fallout" poster, it'd be illegal to use the Fallout name or logo, but not neccesarily any of the universe hallmarks (vault suits, super mutants...)

i'd pay for (several) FO posters if they got to belgium at a decent price, yeah.

what kind of art do you mean? like this?

Silencer - Yep, and if not, I believe it's enough just to change it slightly (still looks essentially the same) and it's okay.

SuAside - I'm sure the shipping thing could be done. As for the style, it would be some kind of analogue art (painted, but style not determined). Possibly something similar to some of the loading screens of Fallout 1 (50's comicbook style, or the more realistic street/aircraft/dog screen of Fallout 2). Not 3D rendered.
