It's only possible in the Fallout mapper, not the actual game itself. I have wondered over the years how it would look if it was hot keyed. You want to be able to turn it off at will. Maybe not a bright red colour, but a much softer semi transparent white tone.

Yeah this would really be a nice addition to the game. Jagged Alliance 2 has some similar thing too when pressing "end" on the keyboard to show the range of your weapon and the to hit chance on particular square XY etc. Would love to have this. Agreed with the transparent white Pixote suggested!
