I see no reason why nma would shut down. I dont know the details but i believe the traffic pays for the hosting. The hiccups are due to the provider messing around in the back. Maybe those would be resolved a bit quicker if korin was around a bit more but i cant really blame the dude, he has a life too and he is maintaining the site out of kindness.

I see the issues as a reflection of overall low activity on the forums. Just normal ups and downs

I guess I would a feel a bit sad but really wouldn't care that much anyways, since I never use this place. I think there was a point where I didn't posted anything on this website for a year.
 
i'd start posting on tiktok but only post nma memorial videos every day for 100 days then make a youtube video called "i posted nma memorial videos on tiktok every day for 100 days... here's what happened (the ending will shock you)" and get filthy rich off ad revenue and sponsorship deals then spend all that money on not only drugs but also to reinstate nma and then i'd start an ama thread about it on reddit but i'd just tell everyone to go fuck themselves

Anyone I give two fucks about their existence and wellbeing IRL here I have on Discord.

Other than that, I've got ass cancer (actually intestinal but ass cancer sounds funnier), so I could really give two shits about whether NMA goes under or not right now.

We were already beginning to stagnate back in 2012-2015. The only folks still posting here are a handful of oldfags like me (don't let the join date fool you) and some a small group of folks that signed up post 2020 because they were bored. Most of the people in that circlejerk called the Order never do anything outside of it so it ain't like they're going to keep it alive, and the majority of it's prominent members who showed any interest with interacting with the NMA community (Verevoof) had decided "fuck this place" and left.

Once Big-K (Mart) has to decide whether it's worth it to pay the light bill again or not for the site it'll probably go down for good next time. After that you'll still have the Wayback Machine if you're feeling nostalgic.

The reality of the matter is that internet forums themselves are a dying medium (a lot like my lower intestines - hah), and no amount of nostalgia-posting is going to save it. What NMA is experiencing right now isn't even unique to NMA. The only reason RPGCodex isn't as bad off as we are is because they never had a period of time where three faggots had moderator/admin positions and were threatening to ban people left and right for what was deemed as "offensive humor" - thereby pushing a lot prominent community members out, but make no mistake they'll eventually hit the same wall we did. (I still miss a few of them, Akratus, Alec, Von Drunky, and a few others to name a few). They did a bunch of damage to both the site's membership and it's reputation elsewhere, before deciding to fuck off to where they're at now.
