If it will come out I want a PC version and a Dreamcast version released at the same time.
Think of it this way, 5.8 million people out there own a DC including me, the fact that the DC uses Windows CE means that it would be easier to port a PC title to the Dreamcast than it would be to port to the Playstation or Playstation 2.
The DC is perfectly capable of handling pre rendered sprite based graphics, the Playstation on the other hand isn't, Diablo is a good example of a PC port to playstation that was bad, however on the other hand DC can handle the some of the most crazy sprite based games like Giga Wing and Marvel vs Capcom, the fact that there isn't alot of RPGs out for the DC, will make Fallout BOS a highly anticipated game cause there are plenty of RPG hungry gamers who just want to get their hands on a RPG for Dreamcast.
Another reason to make it for the Dreamcast is the power of the system, experts say that a 200 mega hertz risc processor is as powerful as a 800 mega hertz Ix86 processor (standard type of processor in computers). The fact that the DC can render pictures at a resolution of 640x480 can make the graphics look crisp and clean, not to mention it has hardware anti aliasing and clipping.
If you happen to ask about a mouse, well don't worry a DC mouse will be out shortly, so you can go ahead and implement one in the game early, so not only can gamers use the controller but they can use a mouse in the not to distant future.

any thoughts on this please post your ideas or your points

I wasn't asking for your opinoin

Isn't discussing all about opinions ?
Anyway, I don't see why not (releasing the game on DC). As long as it doesn't slow down the developing of the PC-game.
And I think 640x480 is not enough, even my Viper v550 graphics card can get 800x600 on TV.

it will be interesting to see how it will look. I think Fallout 1 and 2 for DreamCast would look as good as the PC version, and if they implemented VGA box support then you wouldn't have to sacrifice much of the games graphical qualities to compensate for a low resolution TV, doesn't the games display a resolution of 640x480? it seemed so, if size becomes a problem they could always shrink the images, not to a drastic degree but to a very slight change. I sort of doubt that developing a PC and a DC version would affect the release date, its still in the TBA catagory so who knows weither or not this will all fall through, but I'm sure they would have two development teams, one big team to develop for the PC, and another small team to convert the PC material to the Dreamcast, trust me it doesn't take much man power to convert a PC game to the Dreamcast.
I think that if the developers did make this move they could increase their profit margin, not only are they trying to sell to PC gamers but they could reach out to so much more gamers, not every playstation, N64, or Dreamcast owner has a up to date computer, or a computer at all, and in doing so they (developers) can increase their profit margin by reaching out to this crowd.
However there are risks, and one of the most important one is, making a PC port in the first place, cause what happens if the PC port sucks, well then you can forget about making any kind of money off the game. But if they can properly make a good if not better PC port from the original then the profits will be their.
So I think that the Dreamcast is capable of handling the Fallout series with no problems
