How the heck do you gamble? I read somewhere that this is an easier way to get stuff from the quartermaster (don't even get me started on the idiocy of an army making you pay outrageous sums of money for equipment it should be issuing to you!), but I've never been given the option to gamble and can't find any hotkeys for it. Of course, I'm only just now starting mission 3. Does my gamble skill need to be a certain level? Do I need to make it to a certain rank? Any help will be appreciated.

Certain characters give you the option to gamble. I don't recall which ones exactly, but I know there were some tribals early on. You'll see the option when you click to talk to the person. In the bottom left of the screen will be the options to "Gamble", "Barter", or "Done". Basically, with gamble you select items from both your sides and then click the "Gamble" button. The game does some magic algorithm and determines who wins. I couldn't really tell how the algorithm worked, but after gambling and winning from someone many times, they start to trust you less or something. The first quartermaster that has the gamble option is in the third BOS bunker, so you won't see it until mission 8 or 9 if I remember correctly. You will find a couple other people that will gamble with you throughout the game, though, so having someone in your party with 100 gamble skill is pretty cool. (Stitch has comprehension in my party, and so he has read almost all the books I've found. This made it so that he could "waste" points on the gamble skill.) Anyway, there's nothing like getting several 100,000 worth of stuff for free - just make sure to save before gambling in case you lose! :)

Ah ha! Thanks. That makes it a lot easier to decide how to develop everyone. Appreciate it!
