I need Help on the Restoration Project v1.12

First time out of the vault
OP: Windows Vista home Premium edition
32 Bit, Uac turned off..

OK i install fallout 2 Clean an it works perfectly. I install V1.2 offical Patch an it still works perfectly.. I been tryn to Get the Restoration Project v1.2 Workn for several days now..
Every time after i install it, i click the Run Icon on my Desktop an this error comes up.. "This program requires Windows 95 with direct v 3.0 or later or Windows NT Version 4.0 with service pack 3 or greater" on the tab tho is says "COuld not load direct X" Then wen i click Ok it says " FAllout 2.exe has stopped working".

So please i wuld really like to get playn this tonite. i have played both these games totally through but i wuld really like to try the new stuff.. So please Sum 1 here who has had the same problem post their solution ... or a MOd help me plz.. I am currently signed on Aim so u can msg me there or on here..TY people.
 
Come on people i need a smart person that can help me with my Window's Vista problem an the Restoration Project V1.2 for Fallout 2...
It dosent work .. come on people Please
 
Patience, do you speak it? Use the forums search functionality or be patient until somebody shows up who has an idea how the problem can be resolved. Triple-posting is not liked around here.
 
ok i got it atleast to come up some what now... i took the ddraw.dll file outt it an now i just get a error loading cities.. How can i fix this?

Do i need the city limit patch?
 
OK I hav It fixed an running good so far..

I took the Ddraw.dll file out an deleted it..
Then had to DL the City limit patch..
An thats it.. Ty.. Hopes this helps sum 1 else out easier then it was for me..

If you did that you are going to have a lot of problems with scripts and fixes that depend specifically on Sfall, eg. the Kaga encounters

Also, please use the SpellCheck button before submitting your posts as SMS text is not easy for everybody to understand, especially people that don't have english as their native language
