Fallout Tactics mod I need instructions on how to make a translation for Fallout Tactics

I want to translate Fallout Tactics into brazilian portuguese. I would like to know what is the best way to do this. what tools will I need? the official tool doesn't seem to be for editing text. i want to translate all the important texts in the game, such as all dialogues, HUD texts, menu texts, item names, basically most of the texts. so, what are the folders that contain all these texts? how do I change them? i would also like to know how to make non-english characters appear correctly. i looked in the folder where the game's font is located and it seems to support accents. a friend with experience in game translations is helping me. i thought I would ask for instructions here because I couldn't find any kind of tutorial on the internet.

(I'm sorry if I wrote something wrong, english is not my first language.)

edit: I would also like to know how to edit the game's font without breaking it.

I've never done this before, but I once briefly checked what's inside, and it looks like this is where the lines spoken by NPCs and their side comments are stored. In this folder, you will also find item names.

There are also .bos files.

You can change the extension to .zip, and you'll be able to extract the contents in case the folder mentioned above is empty.

As for the translation, it looks like you just need to write the text in Portuguese and start new game for the changes to take effect.

thanks for the reply, I figured out how to make the non-english characters appear and it is related to the file encoding type
