I patch, convert, and my car disappears. Wtf?

First time out of the vault
I had the US version, unpatched, and played it for a while. Then i applied the official patch and converted my savegames using the converter from the files section here. So i load my newly patched and converted game... and my car's gone.

Dude, where's my car?

No, seriously, is that supposed to happen? How do i get my car back?
I thought maybe it was reset to its original location, but ii checked the Den and it's not there either.-+
 
its a 1.0 bug. you should patch to Killap's unofficial fallout patch. It's basically a continuation of the official v1.02d patch, with the different that it solves many more hundreds of bugs that they didn't get time to fix.
 
Probably. No guarantees, but if you email me the save.dat and where the car's supposed to be, I might be able to work some magic with it.

Sending you the file now, in both the original and converted shape. That way, you'll see exactly where it is and what's in the trunk {by looking at the non-converted version}.
 
Just posting to let everyone know that Kanhef kicks ass. Everything seems to work purrrfectly since i left my file at his clinic for a while. ^_^
