I was looking for a decent cd grabber, when I came across audiograbber. And there are 2 types of encoding, acm, and L3enc. I might try to see if I can fiddle around with the acms to see if I can get them to work!

No, you didn't discovered anything, the ACM format is exclusively from Interplay... The ACM algorithm doesn't exists to the public.

What you have there is the Windows Audio Compression Manager or "ACM", that ACM is not more than a simple codec to compress wave streams.

PCM, ADPCM, MP3 are ACM codecs, try using the winsuck search feature and look for any *.ACM, you will se that there are like 10 of these.

Don't mistake the Interplay's ACM sound format, with the Microsoft ACM Codec!!

RE: ??????

For the Interplay's wave stream compression format ACM: "Ask the Creator Man!" ;)

For the Windows ACM codec it's Windows Audio Compression Manager.

RE: ??????

"Ask the Creater Man"
Is that what ACM stands for?
Thats pretty funny, Ha Ha Ha.

RE: ??????

Of course it is not... That laugh sounded me as sarcasm............ hmmm....
